The Marangu route has the reputation as being the easiest way to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro but more trekkers fail to reach the summit on this route than any other.  This is due to the fact that inexperienced trekkers flock to this route thinking it is an easy option to the summit.  The route is one of the shortest and unlike any other route accommodation is in huts instead of tents.  The reputation of being the easy way to the summit is not true and inexperienced trekkers should be aware that the route offers less of a chance to acclimatize than some of the so called harder route
